The topic of supply chains are in focus right now, have you noticed? Materials and components getting stuck in the wrong part of the world creating problems for all kind of industry at the moment. Springs for limited space

Say you have been assigned to design a spring solution for a pressure relief valve with a very limited space. A customer demand is that the spring needs to maintain linear behavior through 80% of its compression range.

Of course, there are more than possible solutions to this but in this case a normal compression spring most likely won’t fit and wave spring might be a great alternative.
